Digital Printing

Digital Printing is the process of producing printed matter without the use of film or plates, but directly from disk. It differs from copying because it is full colour printing, it offers superior quality and resolution, and it is produced on printing presses rather than copiers.

Film + Pre-press

Pre-press has traditionally been the step between the designer and the printer, when technical issues such as colour correction, high resolution scanning, trapping and colour separation were performed.

The result from a pre-press service was always "film", from which the printer could make a printing plate. Advances in technology have changed this greatly, with many print jobs going direct to plate, or to digital printers, but there is still a demand for pre-press services.

Computer to Plate

Computer to Plate printing has the power to add value to your next printing job by saving you time, money and headaches when sending your job to press. Our Computer to Plate capabilities give clients access to superior quality and vibrancy, and the flexibility to make changes much later in the production process at a significantly reduced cost. Where last minute changes are required, The Creative Type can establish an electronic link between your office and ours, significantly speeding up the processes of authors corrections approval.
